Best Hamburger Recipe

This is the best hamburger recipe EVER. It consistently creates amazing burgers with the perfect combination of tastes. What I really like about this recipe is that these simple ingredients are typically found within reach of every cook I know.

And since there are no perishable ingredients like vegatables or dairy, you can make up huge batches of these hamburgers and stick them in the freezer. When you need them, simply move them from the freezer to the fridge the night before cooking.

Feel free to substitute the lean ground beef with ground turkey, bison, chicken or grade A ground sirloin. Mmmm!

1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup shredded Colby or Monterey Jack cheese
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat a grill for high heat.

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, cheese, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, egg, onion soup mix, garlic, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.

Grill patties for 5 minutes per side on the hot grill, or until well done. Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Best Burgers NEW
by: Jeff B

I did not change the recipe at all except I left out onion soup mix. I actually was a little heavy on the herbs and everybody said it had great flavor and was moist. This will be my go to recipe

Great! NEW

I went by others comments, using: no onion soup mix (sodium) cutting spices and liquids to 3/4 tsp, grated cheddar(what I already had on hand), and 1lb extra lean ground beef. Turned out fantastic, love a burger with flavor. 😀

Yummo NEW

These are very yummy burgers. I substituted the burgerer with ground turkey, i used shredded cheddar cheeses and i cooked my onions first and threw mushrooms also in that and put 1/2 cup of that in. It was very good. Thank you for the recipe it kicked up the flavor of the burgers.

Yum! NEW

Onion is a vegetable, cheese is dairy, and herbs and MEAT are perishable. Description is way off.

Added 1/2 cup of salsa

Most Amazing Burger Ever! NEW

Amazing burgers! My family loved them young and old. Juicy and so full of flavor. This is my new burger recipe! I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. 5+++

Loved by Everyone! NEW

I didn't use the egg or cheese and they were outstanding.

Tasty NEW
by: Em

Amazing taste.

My family loved them. Next time I would omit the onion soup mix as the one I used had MSG. But I would not adjust the spices that is what makes the burgers taste so different.

I will not buy another pre-made burger patty again.

So good!! NEW

These are so yummy! We actually leave out the cheese and the onion soup mix and they are still great!

Over-seasoned but good NEW
by: Anonymous

This tasted more like a meatloaf than a hamburger. Don't get me wrong, it was flavorful. But the seasonings were overpowering. I used 2 lbs of ground beef and reduced the basil/oregano/rosemary by half, and even then it was strong. I believe the soy/Worcestershire/egg/onion/S&P would probably have been sufficient to add a bit of zing to the beef.

Absolutely the best NEW

I didn't believe it when it said "the best hamburgers ever" so I thought "what the heck". WOW!!! absolutely the best I have ever had!!!!

Too many flavors! NEW

These burgers were super moist but with all the herbs it was too overwhelming for me and my husband.I cook with spice all the time but I think I prefer more of a basic burger.
