Pork burger and a pork cutlet recipe

Make your own pork burger with pork chops.

Everybody loves burgers. If you can make some, everybody will love you, right?

This pork burger recipe makes use of pork chop instead of ground pork patties. More rustic and more texture, in my opinion.

This makes only 1 burger, increase the ingredient portion according to the number of people you are serving.

Ingredients
150g pork chop
Half a onion, sliced
Half a tomato, sliced
Shredded lettuce leaves
American cheese slices
Salt
Light soy sauce
Dark soy sauce
8g brown sugar
5g 5-spice powder
15ml white wine
Cornstarch powder
1 hamburger bun
Thai spicy chilli

Directions
  1. Place the pork chop on the chopping board and tenderize it with a meat mallet or the side of a cleaver
  2. Mix the salt, brown sugar, white wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, 5-spice powder and cornstarch powder in a mixing bowl and add the pork chops
  3. Leave it in the marinate for about half and hour
  4. Slice the hamburger bun in half and toast it lightly in the oven
  5. Butter it lightly, add the shredded lettuce, onion, tomato slices and cheese
  6. Remove the pork chop from the marinate bowl and pat off excess liquid
  7. Heat up some oil in a skillet pan on medium low heat, add the pork chop and fry it on one side for 5 minutes or until golden brown
  8. Flip it over and fry the other side for the same amount of time
  9. When the pork chop is done, remove it with a spatula and place on the bun and vegetables
  10. Drizzle some spicy thai chilli on the pork chop and top with bun cap
