The Sonny Burger

First, 93% lean burger. Next, an onion bagel. Not pre-cut. I get mine from Panera Bread. Or Einstein Bros. A Swiss cheese, Emmantaler or Gruyere. Hot sauce of your choosing(not overpowering). With a mild BBQ sauce(to add a little sauciness without taking away the burger flavors). Mold the patty into 1" thick and enough to cover the bagel. Place it on the grill on High for 5 minutes. Turn it over and put it on Medium. Put the sliced bagel face up on the upper rack. Put a drizzle of the hot sauce and BBQ sauce on both pieces of the bagel. Then take the cheese, sliced thin, and place it on both sides of the bagel. Close the cover of the grill for 5 to 8 minutes. Open the cover and take the bagel off. Put the burger on one side and admire the beauty. Presentation adds to the burger. I like mine medium rare. If you want it done a little more, leave it on high for 10 minutes instead of 5 and on the other side go 8 to 10 minutes on medium.
